Code of Conduct

Open Desk Learning

Purpose

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for parents and pupils engaging with our tutoring services.

Our goal is to foster a respectful, inclusive, and productive learning environment for all students, tutors, and

families.

1. Pupil Expectations

- Respectful Behavior: Pupils must behave respectfully toward tutors, other pupils, and learning materials at

all times.

- Punctuality: Pupils are expected to arrive on time for all lessons. Repeated lateness may result in missed

content and disruption to the group.

- Engagement: Pupils should come prepared to learn, with relevant materials and a positive attitude. Active

participation is encouraged to get the most out of the sessions.

- Appropriate Use of Technology (for online sessions): Pupils must join from a quiet, distraction-free

environment and use appropriate language and behavior during sessions. Recording or sharing lessons

without permission is strictly prohibited.

- Homework and Assignments: Pupils are expected to complete and submit any assigned work on time to

support their progress.

2. Parent/Guardian Expectations

- Supportive Involvement: Encourage your child to attend lessons regularly, complete assignments, and

maintain a positive attitude.

- Communication: Communicate respectfully and professionally with tutors. Feedback and concerns are

welcomed, and we encourage open, constructive dialogue.

- Cancellations and Attendance: Notify us as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend a lesson.

Repeated absences without notice may result in removal from the group.

- Payments: All fees must be paid in accordance with the agreed terms. Late or missed payments may result

in suspension of services.

3. Mutual Responsibilities

- Safety and Wellbeing: We are committed to safeguarding all children. Any concerns around wellbeing or

safety will be handled seriously and in accordance with our safeguarding policy.

- Equality and Inclusion: Discrimination, bullying, or any form of exclusionary behavior will not be tolerated

from pupils or parents.

- Confidentiality: Personal information shared during sessions must remain confidential and be handled with

care and discretion.

4. Breaches of Conduct

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in:

- A verbal or written warning

- Temporary suspension from lessons

- Permanent exclusion from our services (in serious or repeated cases)

Agreement

By enrolling in our tutoring services, both parents and pupils agree to uphold the values and expectations

outlined in this Code of Conduct.
